The Time-Travelling Fashionista: On Board The Titanic

It's been so long time I didn't read a novel - because of the final exam and my final paper - so me and Helga decided to go to a bookstore. And I found this.

by Bianca Turetsky

I fell in love with this book's cover. Well I DO judge books from its cover.

I won't tell you the spoiler of this book, but in one word, this book is AWESOME! I love pink, and this book is full of pink. It contains some illustrated pages.
The story is about Louise Lambert, a teenager who is in love with vintage fashion. She got an invitation for garage sale, so she came with her bestfriend.

here's the invitation
She found a pink dress in the garage sale, and when she tried it, unknowingly she went back to the past - she's not Louise Lambert, but Alice Baxter. And she is boarding on Titanic!

The rest of the story is about Louise (as Alice) trying to warn everyone in the cruiseship that Titanic will sink after collision with a large iceberg.

It's so full of pictures and pink, I love it! And I love the story too.

Craft Carnival #3 by Magic Fingers Syndicate

I have a big interest on crafty things. They're come out like magic, once you hold a thread, then POP! you suddenly got a clothes, a bag, a shoe, a wallet, or so.
A friend tag us a poster of Craft Carnival on Facebook, so Keranjang Piknik decided to spare the time for Craft Carnival, and it really was worth it.

The poster is same as the banner above :D
The event itself began in November 15 and ended in the 17th. You can join so many interesting workshop and buy so many (SOOOOO MANY) good things on the event. They have an octopus-sock-doll making workshop, decorative embroidery workshop, postcard making workshop, etc.

There were so many crafters opened their booths here.

Ooooooh, lovely owl.
This is Cerita Kecil booth, who made the framed handmade painting for your home decor. The painting is awesome, and they have so many stories framed and painted nicely on many sizes.

Lunchbreak: Rempah Asia

We took a lunch at Malaysian restaurant, Rempah Asia. They sell many choices of Malaysia's food. As always, Kate had trouble choosing the food for lunch.

In the end, Kate chose Nasi Lemak Telur. It's a seasoning rice with fried egg, peanut, cucumber, and sambal. It's not the usual and plain rice, but it is a tasty rice. The fried peanut is so crunchy.

Helga got Nasi Goreng Pattaya. It's a fried rice inside fried egg, and a soup.

Actually the main reason we went here is for Roti Canai (canai bread). We ordered Roti Canai Kari (curry). It's very delicious!

you can dip the canai bread into curry sauce, or pour the sauce down

Sooo tasty.
And Helga's choice for the drink couldn't be wrong. The Cincau Syrup is very refreshing and sweet. The Lemon Tea is also great!

We were very full after eating and drinking such a delicious food and sweet drinks. You can try on your own!

the colorful interior

Prada Coffee Shop

We went to Togamas bookstore to updating our comics and novels collection, and dropped by this coffee shop beside the building, but still in one complex with the bookstore.

It is called Prada Coffee Shop.

While Helga was choosing her drink from menu, this catch my attention.

coffee roasters

glasses, and coffee makers

a nice teapot

After we made the choice for drinks, we took a seat. At that time the coffee shop was empty because it was raining before.

some vintage posters

The interior is so classy with many black and white pictures on the wall. It's so comfortable and cozy.

Kate ordered an iced peach tea, and Helga ordered a latte - recommended by the coffee-maker. It's raining before and cold, but Kate looked like enjoying the iced tea very much.

this is so refreshing!

This is the liquid sugar for iced tea. You can add up sugar as much as you want.

it looks like human face...

we finished it!
Afterall, we definitely love the taste of tea and coffee, and the price is reasonable. The place is also nice. If you want to hangout with your friends after buying some books, enjoy the coffee and read the books here!
