Sunday Morning

Last Sunday, we went to Sunday Morning (SunMor) to have a breakfast and to sightseeing, hehehe. Sunday Morning is kind of once-a-week-market where they sell everything from street foods, clothes, drinks, ice cream, bags, shoes, hats, and many more.
Here's how SunMor looked:
crowd! people everywhere.
We stopped by this nail-art stand and tried a bit.
cute bottles!

sexy bottles, hehehe
We decided to buy three bottles of nail polish (we'll show you soon!).

After walked for a moment, we saw these cute hats.

we were wondering if they have the cat and hedgehog hats

the one with brown polka-dot ribbons looks cute...

Hats, hats everywhere.
There were so many choices.

If we suddenly get hungry, we can buy anything since there are sooooooooo many food (and street-snack) stalls in SunMor! We decided to buy some and ate it while walking.

this was delicious! (and cheap!)

We found a takoyaki corner after walking for minutes. We decided to buy it.

the takoyaki  is been cooked.
Normally the seller give 4 tako-balls, but with Helga's bargain technique, we got five! Hehe
so yummy!

Our next stop was a bag store. Almost all bags in this store are made of leather. There were so many different types, sizes, and colors.

We heard the seller says that their products are hand-made! Cool!

And I found this super cute duck-back-pack in other store.
(This one is Kate's fav - Helga)

Oh. My. God.
We moved on to the next store.

some unique key chains, I think they're hand-made
Helga found this cute sign

We kept on walking, and found this corner. These are piggy-banks. There were so many colors, and you can ask the seller to write your name on it. I believe this tube-like piggy-banks are hand made, too.

Not-so-pig piggy bank
Not so far from the piggy-bank corner, we stopped at the magazine corner. All the magazines here are in English. Kate usually buy CatFancy magazine here, but unfortunately there was no exemplar of CatFancy last week.

that cooking magazine looks interesting
And then we continued. We found this corner, which sells many types of boxes. You can put your accessories or jewelry inside it.

beautiful boxes
Oh, and they also sell hamsters! There were so many of them. I never buy any, though, but I think if you want to buy one of them, you can also buy the cage, foods, and sands.
this thing can be REALLY CUTE!
Our next stop was this plastic plants corner. They were so beautiful. Helga wanted to buy one for her room, but she hesitated, and she said she will come again on the next SunMor.
I want the pink one!
They sell some action figures, too. We usually find Conan, One Piece, and Naruto.

always crowded with boys, guys, and dads

We finally found our favorite corner! This is (if I'm not mistaken) a corner from Jogja Toys. They sell many hand-made accessories, some of them (I think) are imported from Korea or Japan.

Kate's favorite shop

super cute!!

Helga's favorite

Helga's wish list

Can you decide what to buy on SunMor? We often can not because there are so many good things!

xoxo Kate.

Midnight Calories Attack!

This is our very-guilty-pleasure for midnight snack! T-T
Wall's Selection Hershey's Kisses, Beng-beng Maxx, and Cimory
That's a big bucket of ice cream...with Hershey's chocolate and choco chips. We clean it up in a night, tasted super awesome, I didn't want to stop if I don't have a toothache (damn toothache!).
The red one is Beng-beng Maxx, a chocolate wafer with caramel and rice crispy. It named Maxx because..........it's bigger than the usual Beng-beng. Yeah. Bigger. Chocolate. For. Midnight.
The last one is yogurt. A bottle of yogurt, named Cimory, locally made and very fresh! Kate really fond of it's blueberry taste, even they have a lot of fruit taste like grape, orange, green apple even mixed fruit.

What should we do for this sweetest calories ever?
xoxo - Helga.

Yonex-Sunrise Indonesia Grand Prix Gold 2013

We were soooooo excited!!!! On Sunday, September 29th 2013, we got a chance to see the final of Yonex-Sunrise Indonesia Grand Prix Gold 2013, held in GOR Amongrogo, Yogyakarta.

our tickets!

Before the games began, we bought some souvenirs.

a t-shirt souvenir from this event. I really want to buy this, actually...
This is a kind of little bag where you can put your phone or your coins.
We didn't buy this, though we really want the red/white and the purple/yellow one.
Can you believe that this is a bag?

The Yonex bag, unpackaged.

Handbags from Yonex, purple and black color. The bags are big, we can put almost anything, even balloons!

Balloons, red and purple.

I love the balloons. They look like an eggplant and a chili. Kate wanted the red one, so Helga bought the purple one.

They also sold many pictures of athletes outside the building.

And then we came in into the building. We took the highest seat in the GOR. We can see everything from there.

Our view from the highest seat.
Two mixed double pairs, practicing before the game.
The athletes were awesome!! They played very well, even though they had to fight their own friends. Yes, from five games, three of the games are all-Indonesian final. And the other two was between China (all-China final happened in women's singles and women's doubles).

The first game was between Tontowi Ahmad/Lilyana Natsir and Praveen Jordan/Vita Marissa, both pairs are from Indonesia. We had a lot of fun watching this game, especially Helga, she suddenly love Owi (Tontowi's nickname) so much. The winner of this match is Praveen/Vita.

Owi is ready to serve, Praveen/Vita are ready to defence.
But what Kate anticipated most is the last game, men's singles, where the match was between Simon Santoso and Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka. Kate was so excited because she is Simon's fan.

Simon Santoso is doing jumping smash! Awesome!

Hayom, didn't want to lose, doing jumping smash, too!
netting by Simon
the crowd. everybody shouting 'Simon!' or 'Hayom!' or 'INDONESIA!"
game is over!

AAANNNDD SIMON WON THE GAME!!! I'm soooo happy. He beated Hayom in two matches, 21-17 , 21-11. He got the Indonesia Grand Prix Gold title for men's singles!!

Rillakuma Cord Holder

We're wandering the plaza on a warm Saturday evening and....
Ta-daaaaa!
We got the cutest cord holder ever!
You should have heard about Rillakuma, no?
We find it as a cord holder in our nearest hypermarket :D
Got two in one package *_*
Both of us use it for headset holder. It made by a kind of rubber and feel soft.
This one is simple and easy to use. It has buttons on each Rillakuma's head, so just stick them together and your cords wont get loose or messy.
Make your cord, or charger cable, or headphone a bundle, then buttoned up the Rillakuma's heads around your cord.
Kate's tidy green headphone <3
We got it at the "Japanese corner" section in the Ambarrukmo Plaza's Carrefour.
If there's another Japanese corner in Yogyakarta, would you mind to tell us? :D

Mi-U Guava Juice Drink and Lemon Tea

After we watched Indonesia GPG 2013, we decided to eat at Moen-Moen Steak on the upper foodcourt of Galeria Mall and before we went home, we decided to buy something because we were so thirsty after screaming and supporting our awesome athlete.

Kate:

I bought Mi-U juice drink, guava flavor. I personally like the pink color and the package is so cute. I can't stand the cute cat, especially on the bottle cap.

After drinking the juice, I felt so fresh. The juice is so sweet. Then I have to put it on the trash bag and I went to sleep after brushing my teeth.

Helga:

While Kate was happy with her guava Mi-U, I also fond of my bottled Lemon Tea! It's also Mi-U, but sadly it has no cute little cat like Kate's. This drink is super-sweet!

I like the simple packaging, it's suitable for accompanying me in the late night.

Breakfast Rush-Hour: McDonald
